Someone gave us an old generic sign, no longer wanted, and it was destined for the landfill.
The sign in question was a cheap, MDF, made in China, plaque with a “good tidings of some kind – the type sold in big box discount stores as home décor.” I didn’t have any particular use for it, but I figured I could modify/change the sign into one that may be useful around our place.
I don’t like to see re-usable materials thrown away in the landfill and I always try to find a new purpose that has value. This reduces waste and of course it saves money.
I made a couple of mistakes while working on this sign as you’ll see in the video but was able to fine acceptable (to me) solutions.
A shout out goes to one of my long-time YouTube subscribers, Mr. Bawbag. Mr. Bawbag was recently injured in an auto accident and faces a very long recovery in the hospital. I wish Mr. Bawbag all the best and a speedy recovery. Other subscribers may recall the DIY “Mr. Bawbag Pick Stick” I designed and built awhile ago. It’s a handy tool for picking up trash and other items. It really saves your back!
