When my daughter was around 2 years old and we were living on Cape Cod, she accidentally knocked over an antique (family heirloom) spinning wheel which shattered apart while we were visiting my wife’s parents in Pennsylvania.
Fast forward to the present: We have been living in Maine for the past 17 years, my daughter is about to graduate from college out in Ohio in a couple of weeks, and we will be visiting my in-laws in Pennsylvania again while attending my daughter’s graduation and bring her home.
The broken pieces of the spinning wheel that were collected and stuffed in a plastic bag so many years ago were forgotten and stashed away in storage for all these years. I guess it is time to get the broken part of the spinning wheel repaired so we can return it to my in-laws when we visit.
This video chronicles how I made the repairs/restoration. I hope it passes muster!
