This is the first project with my old wood lathe since overhauling the lathe and replacing the bearings.
I turned a couple of pieces of hardwood scraps and made a wood mallet like the one I made for myself almost 5 years ago. I used the same materials and made the new mallet the same size as the old one.
Since the one I made almost 5 years ago is still in excellent condition, I don’t need this new one and I decided I will give it away to one of my viewers when Downeast Thunder Creations surpasses the 4k subscriber milestone (a little over 40 subs away from that goal as I type this description). More details will be forthcoming is a subsequent video as this channel gets closer to the 4k sub milestone.
