Total Jigsaw Bliss! Complete Jigsaw Joy! I’m now a happy camper!
Yes folks! I discovered an online company that had the replacement parts I needed for BOTH jigsaws (the Bosch & Ryobi). In this video, I replace the broken components and test out the jigsaws, making sure they are both back on-line and ready for use. The Bosch is a superior design, making the parts replacement quick and easy. The Ryobi? Well, not so much….but at least I did manage to get it repaired (using a few good old US Marine Corps words of encouragement).
My professional grade Bosch Jigsaw broke after more than 20 years of fairly heavy use. With no time to procure parts and repair the tool, I had purchased a homeowner grade Ryobi Jigsaw, but the exact same failure occurred after around two years of fairly light use! Interestingly, both tools had the clip come off the shaft that held the guide roller supporting the saw blade and plunger assembly. This in turn caused all of those small parts to take off to parts unknown. Once again, I had an immediate need for a jigsaw and no time to look for parts, so I took a deep dive into the gutter and purchased a Chinese made, Harbor Freight jigsaw to get me by.
