I posted the contents of this video on YouTube years ago when I first started making videos. It’s one of my very best dishes I like to make. I’ve done my best to do a little editing and upgrading where I can, but the original video was recorded in standard definition. Even so, you have the recipe and can whip up a batch of my Pico de Gallo for yourself and I think you’ll agree this is quite addictive stuff! Enjoy!
Wicked Good Pico de Gallo! That’s just one of the reasons I’m known as “The Guy Food Gourmet!”
I make more than sparks and sawdust around here. I also whip up some great “guy food” when my wife is not around. I absolutely love this stuff, and it’s not just for dipping with tortilla chips. It’s great on eggs or in your breakfast burrito. It’s wonderful on any Mexican, Tex-mex, or Southwestern dish. It’s also incredibly wonderful as a gazpacho – eating a chilled bowl of it with a big spoon!
Fair warning: My version of Pico de Gallo is incredibly addictive, and once you taste your first bite, you can’t stop eating it until it’s gone! The recipe is below, but it’s not hard and fast. You have the option to add more or less of any of the ingredients. With the exception of salt, I don’t think there is anything you can add too much of. So, have at it and give this dish a try. I’m sure you won’t regret it!
The Guy Food Gourmet Pico de Gallo Recipe:
(1) 1 – Can of fire roasted, diced tomatoes
(2) 2 – Cans of diced tomatoes with green chiles
(3) 2 – large onions chopped to around ¼” cubes
(4) 3 – fresh jalapeno peppers
(5) 1 – large, fresh bunch of cilantro, chopped
(6) 1/3rd or so cup of fresh lemon juice
(7) 3 or 4 large cloves of fresh garlic, chopped
(8) Few dashes of seasoned salt
(9) A bunch of fresh ground black pepper
Plus – your favorite corn, tortilla chips.
Blend all the ingredients as shown in the video, grab some chips, and dig in!
