Our John Deere L-110 lawn tractor has been in neglect and has not been run is the past few years. To make matters worse, it has been stored outside where the sun’s UV rays have not been kind.
Here’s what it looks like now, along with my thoughts on future plans to build a workshop to do a complete overhaul with fresh paint on the Deere and for the workshop to serve as storage for the Deere after it is put back into shape.
Plans also include building the L110 from a lawn tractor into a garden tractor by beefing up the frame, different tires (switching to ag type) and modifying the engine to put out a little more horsepower – along with a few other mods.
I also have an old Yardman snowblower in need of TLC as well. I have a brand new Chinese made, Harbor Freight engine I can bolt right in, but I also wish to completely disassemble and overhaul this unit as well, complete with fresh paint. This too, will then be stored under cover and no longer spend it’s life outside.
