FREE FULL-SIZE PATTERNS!
Susan Jordan Bennett is my incredibly talented wife, and she has been offering her FREE full-size patterns with instructions for making felt birds and critters. She has been posting them on her blog. https://www.downeastthunderfarm.com for many years and continues to do so.
Susan has a very wide, international following. Folks have been downloading her free pdf bird and critter files and making their own felt ornaments by the thousands. She still continues to produce new offerings for free and loves seeing pictures sent to her of felt birds & critters made by her followers.
If you look at the menu bar near the top of the Downeast Thunder Farm web site, you’ll see a button for free patterns. Clicking on that will reveal a drop-down menu where you can select birds, critters, etc.
By clicking on “Shop” which is located on the same menu bar, a new page will appear. Scroll down to see Susan’s complete felt bird & critter kits, plus more. The kits she offers for sale include the full-sized patterns (more refined than the free versions), along with complete step-by-step instructions, plus all of the materials in the proper amount, needed to complete the item. That means you will receive felt in the proper colors, beads, wire, stuffing, floss, etc. You even receive the proper sized needles!
Most folks ordering and making felt birds and critters tend to be women, however, there have been a few men engaged in making these as well.
The video is an introduction to what my wife offers, and since she is away to pick up our daughter from college for the Christmas break, I stepped in to fill orders and I took some video of me assembling, packing, and sending out a recent order to give you an idea of what’s involved.
