Part 2 features the installation of new bearings, the installation of a new power switch, and re-assembly of the lathe. I then place a rectangular piece of wood in position on the lathe and turn it to a round shape as a preliminary test with excellent results!
I purchased this Taiwanese made wood lathe back in 1993 and I’ve put it through some heavy use and many projects. Unfortunately, the lathe was no longer useable because the bearings became much too loose and caused the work to move about and vibrate on the spindle.
